“We spent a few unforgettable nights tucked into the red rocks of Utah, with starry skies, a modern Airstream, and the magic of Zion right outside our door…”

What is AutoCamp-Zion?
AutoCamp is a luxury glamping experience that offers a mix of custom-designed Airstreams, cabins, and premium tents, all with hotel-level amenities, nestled in stunning locations across the U.S. Their Zion location sits just 15 minutes from the park entrance, surrounded by epic desert landscapes and the sound of the Virgin River in the background.
From the moment you pull into the property, it feels like a peaceful desert retreat. The design is elevated yet earthy, and the entire experience is meant to help you unwind while still feeling close to nature.
Our Experience at AutoCamp Zion
We checked into our Airstream just before golden hour, and let me tell you, it was love at first sight. The Airstream was beautiful inside and out: a plush queen bed, spa-like bathroom, cozy seating area, and even a little kitchenette. Outside, we had our own private fire pit and seating area, perfect for slow mornings with coffee or late nights under the stars.
One of our favorite moments? Watching the sun dip behind the canyon walls while roasting s’mores outside, wrapped in blankets and soaking in the stillness. It felt private, peaceful, and just the kind of recharge we needed.
The clubhouse on site was another highlight. It’s open to all guests and features a stylish lounge area, coffee + tea station, a small market with snacks and essentials, and even cozy fireplaces to hang out by. They also offer bikes, community events, and local wine, yes, please!

Adventuring in Zion National Park
What made AutoCamp even better was how close it was to Zion National Park. We drove just a few minutes to the park shuttle system and were able to easily explore a few favorite hikes.
We’d recommend:
- Riverside Walk: super scenic and kid-friendly
- West Rim Trail: a long brutal hike but absolutely worth the views!
- ⚠️ Important note: As of April 2022, you need a permit to hike the chains section to Angels Landing. You can still hike to Scout Lookout without a permit by taking the West Rim Trail, but continuing up the chains requires winning the daily or seasonal lottery through the NPS permit system.
- The Narrows: you can’t come to Zion and not hike the narrows! Highly recommend renting the right gear from Zion Guru
If you’re visiting during peak season, plan to get into the park early. Parking can fill up fast, and the shuttles can get busy. But once you’re in, it’s pure magic – towering cliffs, emerald pools, and winding trails that make you feel like you’ve stepped into a dream.
